Our CEO Ginni Saraswati spoke about her childhood and experiences in radio on the Jobs That Blow podcast.
Ginni grew up in Australia a young, shy and quiet girl, so when she fell in love with radio, her friends and family were more than a little surprised!
She held multiple jobs in radio, many unpaid, but she didn’t care. She loved it. Sidenote… there was a job that blew in the mix…… in commercial radio sales. And radio wasn’t the only industry for which she worked. She also trained and worked for a major airline production company where she used the money to fund and launch her own podcast, The Ginni Show. After the hundredth person had asked her how to start and create their own podcast, she founded Ginni Media.
It was a direct result of the job that blew that helped her establish Ginni Media; no sitting in traffic, no meetings about to-do lists, no micromanager bosses. She found a way to monetize what she was already doing and what she loved to do.
“When you get to a point in your career where you don’t want your life to suffer anymore and you want to be seen and heard,” Ginni says, “follow your passion, find your voice and don’t shrink yourself to make others comfortable.”
