From Radio Host to Podcast Company Owner [Seattle’s LGBTQIA+ News & Entertainment Weekly]

Listen to the SGN podcast to hear how Ginni Saraswati got her start in podcasting.

Ginni Saraswati first found her voice in radio on Melbourne’s Joy 94.9

It may have led her to start Ginni Media, but it was by no means a straight shot from radio to podcasting. For a time, she worked a corporate job while podcasting on the side.

A large part of her podcasting journey from side hustle to entrepreneur was her desire for freedom.

To get clients, she knew she needed to grow her team and her business. When she came to New York, she started to build a  network. She found word-of-mouth advertising to be the best way to build a business because it’s based on trust, and Ginni and her team thrive on these relationships.

Success has been built on client referrals, while team success has evolved from flexibility and individual freedom.

And yet Ginni has not forgotten her days in radio. She says that radio is the “grandmother” of podcasting, and she will always be loyal to her roots in radio.

Join in the conversation to learn how Ginni Saraswati went from radio show host to starting her own podcast production company.
